The Chestnut-mandibled Toucan is a species of toucan native to Central America, from eastern Honduras to western Ecuador. It is also known as Swainson's Toucan, and is a subspecies of the Black-mandibled Toucan, and while it looks very similar to the Choco Toucan, it is only distantly related. Its cry is said to sound like a dog yelping, or 'Yo-yip, a-yip, a-yip'. Its diet consists of mainly fruits, however it has been known to eat insects, lizards, eggs and frogs.
